Jacksonville’s newest brewery is gearing up for its debut later this month.
Wicked Barley is finishing up work on its taproom and production facility this week ahead of its grand opening.
The brewery, located near Baymeadows Road and San Jose Boulevard, recently installed its brewing equipment and kitchen, and completed its kayak dock on Goodby's Creek.
The brewpub will offer about 20 guest taps at launch, and expects to offer 10 of its own beers once federal licensing is approved.
Although the draft list hasn’t been finalized, there will some staples like a brown ale, a lager, an India pale pilsner, a copper pale ale, a house cider, an orange blossom mead and a root beer mead.
But the owners aren’t stopping after their flagship brewery is completed. Plans are already being developed for several smaller locations throughout the region.
The date for the grand opening has yet to be announced, but the owners are expecting the opening bash to be sometime at the end of the month.
