New Jacksonville Topgolf Has More To Offer Than Golf

A Topgolf entertainment facility opened Thursday near the St. Johns Town Center.

Topgolf features a multi-level, high-tech driving range meant not only to appeal to avid golfers, but also wants to have something for everyone, said marketing manager Alexa Wheat.

The Jacksonville Topgolf venue features two full bars, a restaurant, live music, pool tables, an outside deck, gaming consoles and event rooms, Wheat said. “We’ve seen bachelor and bachelorette parties, corporate events, holiday parties, any event you could possibly dream up we have to offer,” she said.

Another feature of the venue is its atmosphere, especially at night. Topgolf features a circle of lights that shine down on the range with holes that change colors.

While the lights on the range had previously raised some concerns among area residents, Wheat said the concerns were answered after the testing phase.

“The lights have actually been adjusted downward so that they are not facing the highway, they face more towards the field and the targets. The brightness of them has also been dimmed since the testing.”

Topgolf is open from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and is open until 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday. For groups of up to six, hourly rates start at $25.
