Forbes: Jacksonville Jaguars Worth More Than $2 Billion

Jacksonville Jaguars

Forbes has released its annual ranking of NFL teams. The Jaguars checked in at #25 in terms of financial value.

Forbes calculated the Jaguars' value at $2.075 billion as of September 2017.

That's up from $770 million in 2012, when owner Shad Khan purchased the team from Wayne and Delores Weaver, according to Forbes.

The team has jumped in value six percent as compared to 2016.

The Dallas Cowboys captured the top spot for the 11th straight year, with a value of $4.8 billion, up 14%, according to Forbes.

The Miami Dolphins ranked #12 with a value of $2.575 billion and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were ranked #28 at $1.975 billion, according to Forbes.

All but five of the NFL's 32 teams are worth at least $2 billion, with the average NFL franchise worth $2.5 billion, Forbes reported.
