Cinemark USA has filed for a zoning exception (E-17-76) to permit the sale and service of all alcoholic beverages, including liquor, for on premise consumption in the lobby and the theaters of the Cinemark Tinseltown and XD Theater.Cinemark now offers alcoholic beverages for on premise consumption in over 70 locations within the U.S. and Canada and that number continues to grow.
"Over the past several years, U.S. movie exhibitors have been expanding their traditional menu of concession items to include a greater variety of restaurant quality foods and in conjunction therewith, the availability of alcoholic beverages," according to Cinemark. "Our customer feedback tells us that the movie going experience for many adult customers is enhanced when they have the option of enjoying an alcoholic beverage with their movie. It is Cinemark's goal to make that movie-going experience as enjoyable as possible."
