Following a cover story in Forbes last month, Jaguars owner Shahid Khan stopped by CBS's This Morning today to discuss his life story.
The interview covered all of the major events in what This Morning host Charlie Rose calls "the ultimate American success story," including Khan's humble beginnings as a 16-year-old Pakistani immigrant staying at the YMCA, to his eventual purchase of an NFL franchise.
When asked where his desire to become an NFL owner stems from, Khan said it was his love the for the game.
"I developed a passion, a love, for the sport. Obviously I'm not gifted enough to play the sport, so the closest involvement you could have would be as an owner for me [sic]. For years before it happened, I did a lot of cold calling to owners and the league trying to learn the business, and then the opportunity came."
