Saturday, September 14 — Saturday is Riverside Avondale Trolley Night, sponsored by RAP and local businesses. Experience a clean, convenient, reliable and low cost public transportation as viable alternative to cars in our neighborhood. The event is an initiative to show the Jacksonville Transportation Authority that a trolley service at night would be used by the neighborhood. 17 stops, 6 p.m.-midnight. Friday, September 13 — Night of Asia, Jacksonville’s largest Asian festival, offers authentic cultural performances like dancers, acrobats, martial artistss, even hula hoop. festivities start at Celebration Church at 6 p.m. More info on Facebook.
Saturday, September 14 — The 27th Annual Rollin’ on the River car and truck show features hundreds of cars on display, music from DJ Lon Greenwood, prizes, raffles, a 50/50 drawing, and an appearance from Ronald McDonald.
