Jacksonville residents have a new website to check to out how the city is doing on anything from fire and rescue response times to specific budget details. JaxScore 1.0 provides data driven information on a wide-range of city issues. The site can be used to find out how well the city’s various departments are providing services.

It will give the public information on what projects the city’s departments and divisions are focused on—including the independent agencies.

Mayor Alvin Brown said it also makes the city’s government more transparent and accountable.

"So having a Jax Score, a dashboard where any citizen can have access to the information and see how well the city is doing, to see how we spend their money and making sure they know exactly what we are doing and be transparent about it," Brown said. "But also about transparency and accountability."

The new website was designed internally so it didn’t cost the city additional money.

More transparency and accountability were some of the items identified in the Jax 2025 initiative as a priority for Jacksonville residents. You can access JaxScore 1.0 at JaxScore.net.
