H.U.D. Gives Jacksonville Housing Authority $3.5 Million For Capital Improvements

The Jacksonville Housing Authority is one of 79 public housing agencies in Florida that will share in a $48.3 million federal grant. Jacksonville’s cut is $3,574,673.The grant is provided through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Capital Fund Program.

The money can be used to build, repair, renovate or modernize public housing.

The Housing Authority of Fernandina Beach will receive $69,019; Flagler County’s share of the grant is $146,328.
