New Night Market Comes To Downtown Jacksonville

A new event begins Thursday night that brings together food trucks, farmers and artists in an attempt to bring people to downtown Jacksonville in the evenings."On the heels of One Spark it's clear that people want to do more things downtown," said Jaxsons Night Market creator Mike Field. "Night markets have been really popular on the West Coast and haven't really trickled down on this side of the country yet."

Field points to the success of the city's monthly art walks and Community First Saturdays at bringing people into the urban core. The Night Market will run from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month.

The event, at the corner of Main and Adams Streets near Burrito Gallery, will host food vendors, local growers, crafts and a craft beer garden from Intuition Ale Works.
