Report will determine trial for bomb hoax suspect: A report set to be released in the next two weeks will determine whether Zeljko Causevic, accused of falsely telling TSA screeners at Jacksonville International Airport he was carrying a bomb in October 2013, is competent to stand trial. Officials warn of infectious diseases: Duval County Health Officials have confirmed the third local case of chikungunya fever and that a 7-year-old girl is recovering from the first case this year of flesh-eating Vibrio vulnificus bacteria. (Florida Times-Union)

Tortoise torture suspect facing sex charges: Jennifer Greene, currently awaiting trial for animal abuse charges related to the videotaped torture and killing of a protected tortoise, has been charged with lewd and lascivious battery on an underage boy. (First Coast News)

Broward woman asks for same-sex marriage recognition to begin divorce proceedings: Heather Brassner, legally stuck in a 2002 Vermont civil union with a cheating partner because Florida is constitutionally banned from recognizing the relationship, is asking a Broward County judge to lift the state's same-sex marriage ban in order for her to seek a divorce. South Florida teen to compete in 'Jeopardy!' final: Alan Koolik, a 17-year-old incoming senior at Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale will compete in the "Jeopardy!" Teen Tournament finals on Thursday and Friday. (South Florida Sun-Sentinel)
