If Candy Apple Cafe & Cocktails went by another name, it might be the "Eye Candy Cafe."
"We're trying to keep with the tradition of the old Seminole Club, while also throwing in some of the fun candy twists that our location represents now," said General Manager Ted Hayes.
The new downtown restaurant – opened today – is bright and eye-catching, and pairs nicely with Sweet Pete's candy shop. The two have teamed up and moved into the building on Hogan Street that was previously the home of the oldest social club in Jacksonville. The Seminole Club was built shortly after the Great Fire of 1901.
