Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak To Speak At UNF Tuesday Night

World Affairs Council

One of the rock stars of the digital age will speak at the University of North Florida Tuesday night.

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak will talk with a sold-out crowd of 5,000 about innovation, creativity and the future of information technology.

The World Affairs Council of Jacksonville partnered with UNF to bring Wozniak to town.

Council Executive Director Trina Medarev says the computer visionary is passionate about education.

“He agreed to come, to speak here in Jacksonville with the understanding that we would be able to take his talk to the UNF arena,” Medarev says, “and that he would be impacting so many young people in our community and that there was no charge; that this is a gift for our community.”

Before his lecture, Wozniak will sit down with a group of high school students from the Council’s Great Decisions academic enrichment program.

The nonprofit World Affairs Council works to improve public understanding of global issues.
