Westbound Interstate 10 between Chaffee Road and U.S. Route 301 will be closed from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. while crews install overhead bridge beams for the First Coast Expressway project.
Traffic will be diverted to Beaver Street and back to westbound I-10.
The Expressway is a 46 1/2 mile limited-access toll road that will connect Interstate 95 in northern St. Johns County to I-10 in western Duval County.
The project includes 13 new interchanges and a new bridge over the St. Johns River.
The Florida Department of Transportation expects the northern section, from Blanding Boulevard in Clay County to I-10 in Duval County, will be finished sometime this summer.
The southern section stretching from I-95 in St. Johns County to Blanding Boulevard in Clay County is still in the planning phase.
