Obama is pressing Florida hard to extend Medicaid to more low-income residents in the state, the nearly a million who are technically eligible for insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act.
Obama calls the state’s refusal to expand Medicaid a “reckless” play to undercut Obamacare at the expense of Floridians’ health.
Governor Rick Scott says he supports Medicaid expansion in Florida and is continuing to press the Republican-controlled State House on the issue.
