A brand new food bank is open in Jacksonville. Feeding Northeast Florida will deliver millions of pounds of food to hundreds of thousands of hungry and food insecure people across North Florida.
The new organization is taking over the role previously handled by the local Second Harvest food bank.
And the need is greater than ever — despite an improving economy many are still out of work, or underemployed, and struggling to get food on the table.
Bruce Ganger, president and CEO of Feeding Northeast Florida joined Melissa Ross for more on what the new organization hopes to accomplish.
