Climate wars are fueling the Florida governor’s race.Former Governor Charlie Crist — who’s seeking the Democratic nomination for his old job — got a lecture on climate change last week. He used the opportunity to take a jab at current Governor Rick Scott.

All this came about after a group of Florida climate scientists sent a letter to the Governor asking for a meeting with him to discuss their concerns about climate change and its impacts on the Sunshine State

Dr. Jeff Chanton, professor of oceanography at Florida State University in Tallahassee is one of those scientists. He joined Melissa Ross via telephone to discuss climate change and how it’s affecting the state’s governor’s race.
