09/23/15: Islamophobia In America; Mike Rose; TPC Sawgrass Cocktails; Folio Weekly's 'Best Of Jax'
Republican presidential candidates Ben Carson and Donald Trump are drawing criticism for recent comments they have made about Muslims. This comes after an incident in Texas when a 14-year-old student named Ahmed Mohammed was arrested for bringing a homemade clock to school that teachers mistakenly thought might be a bomb. We discuss what some are calling anti-Muslim sentiment in this country with Dr. Parvez Ahmed, UNF professor and frequent commentator on the Muslim experience in America.
We speak with author and education scholar Mike Rose about his book, "Back to School: Why Everyone Deserves a Second Chance at Education."
Simon Muldoon, TPC Sawgrass assistant food and beverage director, joins us with a taste of the some of the cocktails they're mixing up to celebrate the Web.com Tour Championship.
And we look at some of the winners of Folio Weekly's "Best of Jax" readers' poll with Matt Shaw, editor in chief, and Daniel Brown, arts and entertainment editor.
