Lane closures on I-95 northbound through downtown caused major backups earlier this week as work continued on the massive Overland Bridge project.

We discuss the state of that project, as well as the future of toll roads in Northeast Florida, with two of the lead engineers: Kim Holland of RS&H, lead designer on the Overland Bridge project; and Carrie Stanbridge, construction engineer with the Florida Department of Transportation.

Through captivating portraits, insightful interviews and poignant journal writing, the Florida Department of Health's "Faces of HIV" mobile art exhibit examines the effects of stigmas, the personal relationships, and care issues associated with being HIV-positive. The exhibit is making several stops on the First Coast this weekend. Participant Renee Burgess and Torrencia Shiloh, Minority Aids Coordinator with the Florida Department of Health Area 4, join us with a preview.

We speak with Robert Mendyk, Supervisor of Herpetology with the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, about the Zoo's amphibian conservation programs and the launch of their FrogWatch USA citizen science project.

And noted jazz musician and "Jazz Night in America" host Christian McBride joins us his career and his performances at the Ritz Theatre & Museum this week.
