05/04/16: Rick Wilson; Lyme Disease; Public Service Recognition Week; 'Jack' Magazine

Rick Wilson

Donald Trump is closing in on the Republican nomination for president after winning Tuesday's Indiana primary.

Ted Cruz officially ended his campaign after the election, leaving just Trump and Ohio Governor John Kasich still standing.

On the Democratic side, Bernie Sanders won the state of Indiana. However, Hillary Clinton still has a commanding delegate lead in that contest.

Mr. Trump is emerging as the standard bearer of a Republican Party that has been traumatized and torn apart by his campaign.

And one of the loudest Republican voices speaking out against Trump is right here in Florida.

GOP strategist and consultant Rick Wilson is the founder of the #NeverTrump movement opposing Donald Trump for the Republican nomination.

Wilson joins us with his thoughts about the Indiana primary results, and where the 2016 race may go from here.

Lyme Disease

Lyme Disease is a global epidemic, with cases on virtually every continent.

With more than 300 thousand new cases in the U.S. each year, the malady can mimic other conditions like multiple sclerosis or fibromyalgia, or Parkinson’s Disease.

And there’s real controversy in the medical community about not only how to treat Lyme Disease, but also how it is spread.

May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month.

We discuss the latest advancements in research and treatment with: Dr. Kerry Clark, professor of Epidemiology & Environmental Health at the University of North Florida; Dr. Shirley Hartman, a Jacksonville physician treating local Lyme Disease patients; and attorney Melissa Bell, president of the Florida Lyme Disease Association and organizer of the Lyme Disease Challenge.
