Comic Con
The Jacksonville Public Library will play host two Comic Con events Saturday on national “Free Comic Book Day.”
This is the fifth annual comic con at the Beaches Branch Library and the second annual comic con at the Willowbranch Branch Library in Riverside/Avondale. Will and members of his academy will hold a question and answer period as well as a demonstration of their skills 12:30 p.m. at the Beaches location.
The Civic Orchestra of Jacksonville
The Civic Orchestra of Jacksonville is having its season finale 5 p.m. Sunday at St. John Cathedral in downtown Jacksonville. The theme of the concert is “A Night at the Opera.” The Civic Orchestra will perform operatic masterworks alongside two world class New York City-based sopranos, Shorstein and Pasquini. Shorstein is a Jacksonville native.
