Tracy Collins Followup

She’s the lovable local media personality known to all as Tracy Dot Com.But Tracy Collins shocked her friends and fans earlier this year when she revealed that she’s an alcoholic.

Since going public with that stunning announcement, Tracy has been inundated with offers of support and pleas for help.

She’s heard from hundreds of others in this community, just like her. These are people who are struggling with addiction and it can be especially tough to deal with a drug or alcohol problem during the holidays.

When Tracy appeared on First Coast Connect about a month ago, she was overwhelmed with calls, as she shared her story and talked about her upcoming book, “Stumbling Into Sobriety.”

She is also the founder of The Crushed Velvet Project which is designed to help people with their addictions.

It’s the timeless tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and it will be on the local stage Sunday.

Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol is at historic Theatre Jacksonville at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. It’s the sixth year Jason Wood has performed the show the one-man show featuring him performing dozens of characters.
