Media Roundtable
Our panel discussed thelatest Times-Union/ ProPublica investigation regarding their Walking While Black series that showed over half of the those ticketed for a pedestrian offense in Jacksonville lost their driver’s license for lack of payment of the ticket. They also discussed Sen.Marco Rubio’s threat to vote no on the GOP tax overhaul bill and Mayor Lenny Curry releasing to the public the city’s proposal to bring Amazon’s second corporate headquarters to Jacksonville.
Apex Theatre Holiday Shows
The Apex Theatre will present a series of seasonal offerings aimed to get audiences out of the house and into the holiday spirit. Upcoming performances include “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” Dec.16 and 17 and “It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” Dec.21 through 23 at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall.
There will also be a production of NPR’s David Sedaris’ “The Santaland Diaries”.
Bright Holidays Concert
Bright Holidays provides gifts to underprivileged children in Jacksonville. The benefit concert that features Madison Carr, Allie and the Cats and Chris and Chelsey. It will held 1 p.m. to 4p.m. Saturday at Unity Plaza.
