Tuesday on First Coast Connect we heard about the upcoming Women’s March in Jacksonville with organizers Jennifer Wolfe, Bonnie Hendrix, Mary Cobb and Nancy Quinones (01:05).

The latest segment of Moveable Feast featured the first ever Food Judges Symposium (29:01).

Chef Kenny Gilbert talked about his latest eatery, Gilbert’s Southern Kitchen & Bar (36:38).

Cole Pepper talked about the Jaguars big playoff win in Pittsburgh and looked ahead to Sunday’s AFC Championship game against New England (46:00).   

Women’s March

It’s been a year since the Women’s March stormed the country’s streets in reaction to Donald Trump’s election.

The march was the single largest protest in American history, drawing millions of women to not only protest Trump but also raise awareness about a range of issues.

This weekend, women are marching again, around the country and here in Jacksonville. It takes place 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 21 at the Jacksonville Landing.

A group of food judges are now getting professional on the First Coast..

In Tuesday’s Moveable Feast, our look at dining and hospitality trends around the region, Leigh Cort of the Women’s Food Alliance talks with two of her members, Nancy Guarnieri and Nancy Slatsky about the first ever Food Judges Symposium.

Gilbert’s Southern Kitchen & Bar and Gilbert’s Hot Chicken, Fish and Shrimp recently opened in Jacksonville Beach. Gilbert is best known for his appearance on Top Chef where he was voted Fan Favorite. He’s traveled the world and has appeared on the Today Show and CBS Saturday Morning. He’s also been a contestant on the Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen and Beat Bobby Flay.   

Cole Pepper

The Jaguars are in the AFC Championship game for the first time since 2000 after upsetting the Steelers in Pittsburgh Sunday 45-42. It’s the second time they beat the Steelers on the road this season.

The Jaguars play on the road Sunday against the New England Patriots. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:05 p.m.
