4/6/2018: Media Roundtable; Gen W- Shelley Diamond
Friday on First Coast Connect our weekly Media Roundtable featured David Bauerlein from the Florida Times-Union, WJCT business analyst John Burr, Folio Weekly editor Claire Goforth and First Coast Connect producer Kevin Meerschaert (01:06).
We spoke with Generation W founder Donna Orender and guest speaker Shelley Diamond about next week’s big Gen W conference (46:00).
Our panel discussed the continued riffs between Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry’s administration and the City Council over the possibility of selling JEA as well as the Kids Hope Alliance hiring a former board member as CEO, They also looked at the resignation of State Democratic Committeeman John Parker for using racially insensitive language and Florida TaxWatch calling the state funding to tear down the Hart Bridge elevated road a “Budget Turkey.”
