Jacksonville’s PB&J Jam Session

They’re called PB&J Jam Sessions - community conversations on everything from race, to the environment to kids.

A PB&J Jam Session is coming up in Jacksonville on Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Jessie Ball DuPont Center and children are the focus.

Spokeswoman Denise Reagan joined us with a preview. In case you were wondering, PB&J stands for party, benefit and jam.

House On The Forgotten Coast

Local author Ruth Coe Chambers felt Hurricane Michael’s impact intensely. She grew up in Port St. Joe and spent a lot of time with relatives in Apalach. Her new novel House on the Forgotten Coast, is set in the Panhandle of Florida and recently won a Royal Palm Literary Award.

She joined us with some thoughts on her book and the area.
