Gov. Ron DeSantis has announced plans to eliminate the Gardiner program waitlist of nearly 2,000 students.
He was in Jacksonville Monday to make the announcement at the North Florida School of Special Education as part of his $91.3 billion budget proposal.

North Florida Land Trust
The North Florida Land Trust, a nonprofit that serves as a “champion of environmental protection” in our area, is holding its annual meeting on February 7. During the meeting, the organization will present its 2018 accomplishments and share what it hopes to accomplish in 2019.

Valentine’s Day is next week. A new social enterprise in Jacksonville is encouraging people to give a gift to that special someone that can also help make a difference in someone else’s life. Charis Chocolate is City Rescue Mission’s newest enterprise that helps raise funds to support the mission's drug and alcohol addiction recovery program.
