It’s called ROOTS Weekend, a convening of artists, activists, and organizers working together to build community. It takes place in Jacksonville this weekend as part of Alternate ROOTS, which supports the creation and presentation of original arts in all its forms.

Writer Yvette Angelique Hyater-Adams joined us with more information about the event and how art can help bring attention to injustices.

Gogol Bordello

Famed "gypsy punk" band Gogol Bordello is celebrating their 20th anniversary.

We recently spoke to Bandleader Eugene Hutz about the group’s new album, Seekers and Finders and their tour - which includes a stop in Jacksonville.
