Charleen Shirk filled in as guest host for Melissa Ross.  She talked with Brenda Priestly Jackson, City Council woman for District 10, which covers parts of northwest Jacksonville.

Topics ran the gamut from controversies surrounding the possible sale of JEA, to the proposed half-penny sales tax for schools in Jacksonville.

Fall Fiesta For The Arts

The Ponte Vedra Education Foundation for the Arts is throwing a Fall Fiesta for the Arts Thursday evening at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall October 3, at 6:30 p.m.   Heather Prediletto, a board member with the foundation, told us it’s an inaugural fundraising event.

Michelle Corum joined WJCT as "Morning Edition" host in 2012 and has worked in public broadcasting as an announcer and reporter for public radio stations in Lawrence, Kansas, and Interlochen, Michigan. She also manages WJCT's Radio Reading Service for sight-impaired listeners.
