COVID-19: Latest Developments, How It Impacts Kids And UNF Poll; Cole Pepper

Dr. Greg Poland, an infectious disease expert with the Mayo Clinic, joined us to discuss the latest on COVID-19.

Poland answered questions about hydroxychloroquine, the anti-malarial drug that President Donald Trump has promoted as a potential treatment for the coronavirus. Poland also explained the latest on Mayo Clinic’s rapid and serology testing.

While children have a reduced risk, they can still be infected by the coronavirus. Dr. Mobeen Rathore, a Pediatric Infectious Diseases Specialist with Baptist Health, addressed the biggest misconceptions about COVID-19 and kids. 

Approval Ratings

Approval ratings for President Trump, Gov. Ron Desantis and Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry have been affected by their handling of the pandemic. Mike Binder, who runs UNF’s Public Opinion Research Lab, analyzed the findings of the university’s poll released Monday
