The Florida National Guard has been deployed to help with COVID-19 testing


Lauren Luna, the deployed Public Information Officer at the Jacksonville regional COVID-19 testing site, joined us for a closer look at what testing looks like at Lot J. The site is open to residents from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or until 750 tests have been administered.

Plaquenil 

new study on Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) is not showing encouraging results. The study followed 368 patients in U.S. veterans hospitals and shows there were higher deaths among those given hydroxychloroquine versus regular care, the Associated Press reported. Plaquenil can harm the heart, and your vision. Dr. Arun Gulani of the Gulani Vision Institute offered his perspective.  

 

A Story Of COVID-19 

As the Coronavirus continues to spread, many are mourning the loss of their loved ones to the infection. Barbara Haws, from Nocatee, joined us to share her story of losing her father to COVID-19 and contracting the virus herself.  

 

Some Restaurants Selling Groceries To Adapt 

Many restaurants have had to adaptto keep their businesses running during the pandemic. Meredith Corey-Disch of Community Loaves in Murray Hill joined us to explain how the restaurant is pivoting into selling groceries.

Every week on social media platforms, founder Kelly Youngs will be interviewing women who are not just surviving but finding ways to thrive amidst this life-altering experience.
