City Year

There will be more students returning to local classrooms this week, along with the Americorps members of City Year. Their service model has adjusted to hybrid classrooms and they are ready to help undo any learning loss students experienced due to COVID-19. Impact director Alexis Holton joined us to explain how.

Jaguars Victory

The Jacksonville Jaguars started off the season opener with a 27-20 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. They also had some fans on hand to watch them win, thanks to COVID safety measures put in place at TIAA Bank Stadium. WJCT News’ Sky LeBron sat down with us for his game thoughts and the new safety measures at the stadium.

Jacksonville Symphony

For the first time since March, the Jacksonville Symphony will perform two public shows in the Jacoby Symphony Hall!  There will be two free shows this Wednesday and Thursday.  Conductor and music director Courtney Lewis joined us with a preview.
