Free VPK Enrollment

Voluntary pre-K enrollment (VPK), a free early learning program that the state of Florida offers, is currently underway. Studies have shown that early learning has a real difference in children’s brain development and academic performance over time. Denise Marzullo, CEO of the Early Learning Coalition of Duval elaborated.

DCPS & Black History Month

A new report in The Florida Times Unionlooks at the role students played in getting Duval Public Schools to amplify Black History Month.

Unsung COVID Leaders

Leadership Jacksonville is hosting its annual award show, honoring leaders in the community virtually this year. This year, they are recognizing “Unsung COVID Leaders.” The deadline to nominate someone who should be recognized for their efforts of helping others during the pandemic is March 5. Jill Dame, CEO of Leadership Jacksonville joined us with more.
