A 40-year-old Jacksonville woman with mental illnesses is still missing after she was released from the Duval County Jail on Aug. 5.
Anna Kidd was last seen outside the jail on Adams Street wearing an orange and black shirt with black pants. She is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 212 pounds. Her eye color is brown and her hair color is black.
A doctor's note shows she suffers from a traumatic brain injury from a car accident in 2009. She also suffers from mental retardation, seizures, bipolar disorder and cerebral palsy.
Her mother, Ruby Stockdale, said a sheriff's officer took Kidd out of their home against her will on July 30, and she hasn't seen her since then. After asking JSO again and again where her daughter is, she found out Kidd had been arrested for indecent exposure and sent to jail.
Stockdale says her daughter is incapable of taking care of herself.
“My daughter cannot make rational decisions on her own. This also proves that officer should’ve known better than to take her out of my care,” she said.
According to the missing person's police report, Stockdale said her daughter does not have a phone.
She also said they just moved to Jacksonville from Alabama and doesn’t have any local family.
