Former President Bill Clinton Is Visiting The First Coast Tuesday

Former President Bill Clinton is visiting Jacksonville on Tuesday as part of a three-day tour of his Clinton Foundation projects.

He’ll be starting with a visit to Azalea Project, an initiative of the northeast Florida Healthy Start Coalition and community partner of the Clinton Health Matters Initiative (CHMI) to help mothers and infants.

The project provides support for at-risk families and mothers facing addiction and resources for healthy living and early childhood development.

The nation’s 42th president will then head to the Orange Park Medical Center where he will be meeting with beneficiaries and partners that work with CHMI to address to the opioid epidemic and reduce drug use and misuse.

His third First Coast area stop is scheduled to be to the University of North Florida’s Ann and David Hicks Hall Building. There he is scheduled to meet with CHMI partners who are helping lead nutrition and food access efforts across Northeast Florida, according to a news release from the University of North Florida and the Clinton Foundation.
