Cold Weather Descending On First Coast

FloridaStorms.org

Get ready for some chilly weather on the First Coast this weekend.

The culprit, says National Weather Service meteorologist Nate McGinnis, is cold air heading our way from Canada.

“Rain today, Friday and early Saturday before it clears out on Saturday night and Sunday. And when we lose those clouds, it really helps the cold air to settle in,” said McGinnis.

According to the forecast, temperatures in the early hours of Sunday and Monday will dip into the low 30s inland, the mid 30s along the coast.

“Monday and Tuesday look like beautiful days with high temperatures in the lower to mid 60s and morning lows pick up to about the lower 40s the following nights,” said McGinnis.

The extended forecast, he says, calls for cooler-than-average temperatures along the East Coast for the next couple of weeks.
