Members of The Blue Angels Arrive At NAS Jacksonville Monday
Two members from The Blue Angels will be arriving at Naval Air Station Jacksonville on Monday to discuss plans with representatives and the media for the upcoming NAS Jax Air Show on October 27 and 28.
This weekend the Navy’s elite Flight Demonstration Team will be streaking across Tampa Bay skies at 2018 AirFest at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa.
Jacksonville is the birthplace of the Blue Angels. The Navy Flight Exhibition Team performed its first flight demonstration June 15, 1946 at NAS Jacksonville, according to the Navy.
The very next month the team was introduced as the “Blue Angels” at a show in Omaha, Nebraska.
October’s NAS Jax Air Show will mark the 68th anniversary of the event.
