Democratic North Florida Congressman Al Lawson has picked up an endorsement in Jacksonville from the Fraternal Order of Police.
Lawson is running for reelection in Florida’s 5th Congressional District, which goes from Jacksonville west past Tallahassee. It was the seat held for many years by Corrine Brown, before she went to prison for fraud.
In the union’s endorsement, F-O-P President Steve Zona recognized Lawson’s support of the military, the environment and public safety…calling him a “true advocate” for the community.
The Jacksonville F-O-P represents more than 3-thousand active and retired law enforcement officers.
