The Jacksonville Transportation Authority has sold a 9-acre parcel of land in Mandarin to the First Coast Energy Co., according to our news partner the Jacksonville Daily Record.
The owner and operator of Daily’s gas stations, First Coast Energy is planning to build a Daily’s at the site, which runs along San Jose Boulevard near the Marbon Road intersection, south of Interstate 295.
Jacksonville Daily Record Editor Karen Mathis said there’s likely to be more development there too.
“First Coast Energy hasn’t said that they have any plans for the rest of that property, but I know that there have been plans out there, so I know that people are interested in that, so we’ll keep our eyes on that,” Mathis said.
And she said JTA is talking with First Coast Energy about potentially keeping a smaller version of the current Park-n-Ride parking lot on the site.
