Ultimate Fighting champion Ronda Rousey will be taping a live show for the WWE Monday evening in Jacksonville.
This will be the first time a WWE event has returned to Jacksonville in over eight years, as noted by the Veterans Memorial Arena website.
The wrestling superstar is set to share the ring with Alicia Fox, a Ponte Vedra native, at Veterans Memorial Arena. The event is being billed as Rousey’s first WWE RAW Singles match to be aired on the USA network, rather than exclusively offered as a pay-per-view event.
Fox has been a wrestler for WWE since 2008 and also stars on the reality television series Total Divas, according to her biography page on WWE.com.
Monday’s match starts at 7:30 p.m. The event also will feature former olympic medalist and current WWE RAW General Manager Kurt Angle, as well as an eight-man tag team, with Dolph Ziggler and Roman Reigns, the cousin of Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson, as captains.
Tickets to the show are available through Ticketmaster.
