People in Clay County whose dog or cat gets sick after the vet’s office has closed for the day can now take their pet to an after-hours clinic run by the nonprofit Clay Humane Society.
Clay Humane says the urgent care clinic in Orange Park is for dogs and cats with illnesses and injuries that are not life threatening like vomiting, minor cuts, skin problems and ear and respiratory infections.
The walk-in veterinary service at the Clay County Humane Society at 2230 Filmore Street is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from 5 p.m. until midnight.
Pets brought to the clinic will be treated in order of urgency.
