Jacksonville's Longest Table Community Dinner Rescheduled

The Longest Table community dinner event planned for Wednesday night has been rescheduled to Thursday, November 29 due to a strong chance of rain, accoding to JAX Chamber.

It’s is a free open-air dinner that will stretch more than 600 feet down Independent Drive in downtown Jacksonville. Longest Table was founded in 2016 as a way to connect diverse groups and build relationships across economic, racial, religious and ethnic backgrounds, according to the JAX Chamber.

Hundreds of tickets have been distributed to the free event.  The updated schedule for the 2018 dinner is as follows:

Thursday, November 29

  • 5:30 p.m.: Check-in and networking
  • 6:10 p.m.: Dinner
  • 8 p.m.: Event concludes

The table will stretch from Main Street to Newnan Street on Independent Drive.
