The Jumbo Shrimp are hiring for the 2019 home season at the Jacksonville Baseball Grounds.
Shrimp spokesman Scott Kornberg said Wednesday the team has dozens of food and hospitality positions to fill, including everything from bartenders and cooks to hawkers and cashiers.
Because the season runs from April to September, Kornberg said the jobs are a good fit for teenagers. “Kids as young as 16 years old are welcome to come to our job fair, see if anything interests them. And, you know, get some interview experience at the very least and get a chance to make some money, a little bit, during the summer.”
The Jumbo Shrimp will hold two job fairs at the Baseball Grounds. The first is from 9 a.m. until noon, Saturday, February 9th.
The second is Tuesday, February 12t, from 5:30 to 8 in the evening.
