The Jaguars will soon be turning 25.
Although the team was awarded to Jacksonville in 1993, it didn’t take the field until 1995, which means this summer the team will mark the beginning of its 25th season, signifying a quarter century of NFL football in Jacksonville.
To mark the occasion the Jaguars will be unveiling a 25th season commemorative logo in mid-March, which the Jaguars describe as embodying “the spirit of DUUVAL.”
“We’ll celebrate the legends of the past, the players of the future and the fans that have stood by our side through it all. The 2019 season will set the stage for the next 25 years of Jaguars football in Jacksonville,” said Jaguars President Mark Lamping in an email to WJCT News.
The announcement ties in with the team's launching its season ticket renewal drive. Season ticket prices in 2019 will increase by an average of 2.4 percent, according to the Jaguars.
General bowl season tickets begin at $39 per game.
