Business Brief: Solar Industry's Bright Spots Include JEA, Jinko In Jacksonville

A solar panel manufacturing plant, Jinko Solar, officially opens in Jacksonville Tuesday. The Chinese company behind it promises to create 200 jobs on the city's Westside.

As Jacksonville Daily Record Associate Editor David Cawton tells WJCT’s Jessica Palombo, at the same time, solar is also an increasingly attractive investment for utility companies including JEA and Florida Power and Light. While the nation has recently seen a slight slowing in the growth of the solar industry, Florida's has exploded over the past year.
