Sen. Rubio Names Jacksonville Company Small Business Of The Week

The Office Of Senator Marco Rubio

A Jacksonville-based lawn and soil business is getting recognized as the U.S.  Senate Small Business of the week by U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-Florida).

Rubio visited GT AirInject on Friday, a family-owned company that does maintenance work for golf courses and other athletic fields.

Rubio said he chose GT AirInject because it’s a local company with a global reach.

“When you start to see creativity and innovation, where a solution finds a problem, you’re seeing a lot of that from the small business sector. And so we need to do a better job as policy-makers to make life easier to succeed,” he said. “And they employ people that are from here. It’s a great source of employment.”

The soil management company breaks down compacted soil by injecting pressurized air. Extra oxygen is forced in, pushing CO2 and other anaerobic gases out, which improves turf.

GT AirInject’s Air2G2 air-injection process has been used at TIAA Bank Field for the Jaguars, along with a host of other customers.

Rubio chairs the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, which oversees proposed legislation on small businesses.
