Ameris Bank is rolling out its new logo, and as part of that transformation wants to put up new signs on the Southbank riverfront tower it anchors at 1301 Riverplace Blvd.

The bank unveiled the brand update Monday after parent company Ameris Bancorp acquired Fidelity Southern Corp. on July 1.

The combined banks, with assets of $16.4 billion as of March 31, took the Ameris Bank name.

Over the next several weeks, Ameris Bank will start updating branch signage along with ATMs and its app.

Ameris Bancorp is headquartered in Moultrie, Ga., while the Ameris Bank executive team is located in Jacksonville.

The Ameris Bank sign on top of the tower it anchors at 1301 Riverplace Blvd. is expected to be updated soon.

In addition to retaining the Ameris Bank name and Fidelity-inspired lion, the updated brand also maintains Ameris Bank’s red, white and blue color palette.

WJCT News partner the Jacksonville Daily Record reports the Downtown Development Review Board will consider Ameris Bank’s request for new signage at its Thursday meeting.
