A University of North Florida employee has tested positive for the coronavirus.

A university spokeswoman told WJCT News that the employee had been self-isolating at home before getting the test results and that the person had minimal contact with others on campus.

The employee's name and job title were not released.

UNF officials are in communication with the employee and are reaching out to everyone they believe may have been in close contact with the person.
