Jacksonville’s Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, Stephanie Burch, will give a sworn statement to the special City Council committee investigating the failed attempt to sell JEA.
After Burch turned down the committee’s initial request for her to testify, the committee appealed to Burch’s boss — Chief Administrative Officer Brian Hughes.
WJCT news partner News4Jax reported on Twitter Wednesday that Hughes is directing Burch to talk with the committee.

That’s according to a letter signed by the CAO directing her to do so. @wjxt4
The investigatory committee considers her a key player in the effort to privatize the city-owned utility.
She was one of three -negotiators who went to Atlanta in November to meet with companies interested in buying all or part of JEA.
