At last check, 1,800 people had signed up to participate in a Downtown Jacksonville boat rally Sunday to celebrate President Donald Trump’s birthday, according to the organizer’s Facebook page.
Boaters will be gathering Downtown on the St. Johns River adjacent to Metropolitan Park at 10:30 a.m.
The organizers are planning to depart promptly at 11 a.m. for Fleming Island, with an after party planned at the Pineapple Point Sandbar.
Boaters are encouraged to rig up patriotic flags. The organizers said their last boat rally on May 16 attracted more than 500 boaters.
