Don’t be alarmed if you hear the sound of explosions and gunfire coming from Naval Air Station Jacksonville over the next few days.

The Navy says the simulated noises are part of a training exercise at the base hospital that’s designed to help medical professionals perform their jobs under battlefield conditions.

The exercise is scheduled from 7.am. until 2 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.
